The business, founded in 1960 by Charles-Édouard Dumont, was passed on to his son Gaston in 1974, and then to the third generation, with Marc at the lead. The fourth generation will be even more productive with Marc’s three own sons, Charles-David, Louis-Éric and Marc-André.

South Durham Casket Ltd manufacture mainly hardwood casket, with 35 workers producing up to 7000 units per year. For sales and distribution, we rely on distributors using South Durham Casket Ltd’s own fleet of trucks.
